Welcome to the Physics of Pokémon!
The world of Pokémon is a fictional place full of fantastical creatures that are, at least for the first few generations, based off of organisms that can be found in the real world. These creatures are trapped by Trainers in Poké Balls and essentially used as soldiers to fight battles against each other for their respective trainers. These battles can become quite intense.
In the Pokédex--the in-game encyclopedia of all the Pokémon in existence--descriptions of the Pokémon are given, explaining what they are capable of. Some of these descriptions seem to be outlandish exaggerations; some are probably even realistically impossible.
The purpose of this site is to see what would happen if Pokémon were real, given their abilities as described in the Pokédex. Using physics, it is possible to determine the immense power of these Pokémon.
As we will demonstrate, if Pokémon were real, the world would be very different . . . and it also would not last very long.
